iLuminate™ premiered live on national television as part of Chris Brown's Michael Jackson tribute at the BET Awards. Choreographers and creative directors Richmond and Tone Talauega did a great of using creating light cues that kept the audience captivated and accentuated the movement of the classic Smooth Criminal choreography.

iLuminate™ premiered the new LED12 devices live on the American Music Awards as part of The Black Eyed Peas performance. We lit up the box-head dancers. We collaborated with Marco Marco on creating the box heads and then worked with Fatima Robinson to program the lights with the choreography. It was all done in under a week.

The Black Eyed Peas used 6 LED12 devices and 6 EL8 devices live on the X-Factor in London. We lit up the box-head dancers. We collaborated with Marco Marco on creating the box heads and then worked with Fatima Robinson to program the lights with the choreography. The 6 dancers using the EL8 devices used 3 channels of electroluminescent wire to help give them an alien look. We added 6 EL Wire costumes and programmed them all in under 48 hours - dynamically lighting up a total of 12 dancers.

In this compilation we showcase both the LED12 and the EL8 and the different effects of the system. We created a custom chase across dancers and sped it up gradually to show the system capabilities. We also showcase fades, crossfades, on board effects, and individual light channel control. The speed of the light cues is independent of the number of dancers, allowing the system to scale well. The inversions and partnering show that the lights and devices can withstand different movement.

This dance features our newest product - the LED12. Both dancers have about 10 feet of RGB LED Ribbon sewn into their costumes. The LED12 can be used to illuminate up to 24 ft of RGB LED Ribbon/Tape or over 30 ft of single color ribbon. This type of device can be used in light or in the dark. We show both options in the video. In the dark, the LEDs are so bright they illuminate the dancers. In the daylight, they add accents to the choreography. And, you can use these in branding, as we have done with the iLuminate ™ logo.

This is a fun demo illustrating the use of iLuminate™ on a guitar. iLuminate™ is not just for clothing, it can be used in instruments, moving props and set pieces. We especially recommend LED Tape for instruments and moving props because it pops. For an outlined look or a more neon effect, Electroluminescent wire is the best option. We added the mohawks to show the fun possibilities of the costumes.

We went a bit more modern with this dance. At the beginning we played with levels, creating hovering effects that audiences are amazed by because they are not quite sure what is going on. The goggles give the dancers a more eerie human feel. We added cartwheels and partner work to show that the lights and devices can withstand several different types of movement.

This is a classic dance and a favorite of many. It was the inspiration for Chris Brown's MJ Tribute on the BET Awards. The sharp outlines of the fedora hat, tie, shoulders, and body really brings out the movement. This type of look can be used to create human cartoons that come to life in a way that is impossible with many of the post-production tools we have today.
